Musings On Marathons

I'd love to say that I've ran a marathon, who wouldn't. I'm having a hard time grasping the reality of doing it though. When I first ran a 5k, I thought to myself there was no way to run a 10k, it was twice as far, and I was tired. When I ran my first 10k, I thought to myself there was no way to run a half marathon, it was twice as far, and I was tired. I've ran two half marathons now. My thoughts are the same, a marathon is twice as far and I was really tired at the end of the half. The problem is twice as far is 13 more miles, not 6 or 3. I can't grasp the thought of going 13 more miles. I will make no commitments at this time.

I did just sign up for the American Fork Canyon half marathon. Looks like a lot of fun!
